Daryl Brown is a 24/ year veteran of Walmart and serves as its Human Resources for Health and Wellness Manager and currently has 7 states in his jurisdiction. Previously, Brown was the Optical Area Manager where he was was responsible for Profit and Loss, primarily development of his direct reports. Brown is a successful leader who continues to make a positive difference in northeast Ohio and the states that he supports. He strives daily to make the world a more inclusive place of both race and culture. His background ensures awelcoming and inclusive workplace environment at Walmart.
In addition to his role at Walmart, Brown is active with his church, World Harvest. He is the immediate past President of the Eta Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Brown has been a long-time devoted volunteer to the All-Star Track Club at the University of Akron and is the Board President for Pillars United. He also volunteers with the West Side Collaborative. He is a 2019 Ohio Black Women’s Leadership Caucus Award Winner.
Brown is known for implementing strategic and inclusive leadership for Human Resources plans, programs, and policies. As the Chapter President for Alpha Phi Alpha, Brown advises the committees and helps implement policy for the fraternity. He has been instrumental in expanding the outreach to young men and is a fierce advocate for education and engagement of young and established Black men.
Brown earned a B.S. in Human Resources at Franklin University. Prior to his appointment in HR, Brown worked in Vision and Health and Wellness for Walmart.
Brown is married to Cristina and together they have four children, Noah, Nehemiah, Parker, and Graciela.
